Good evening, Grace Church Family and Friends,

It’s been a little chilly out there lately. I know some of our friends from the North Country are laughing at me right now. I hope it warms up sooner than later (grins). I trust you’ve enjoyed your week. I look forward to seeing you all in the morning.

On this past Thursday, we had the Memorial Service for Mrs. Carol Holloman. Carol was a dear friend and sister. She and her brother Billy Peede were our only two remaining “Founding Members.” Carol was raised at Grace Church from her childhood. She remained faithful to her Lord and her church until she entered glory. She is with Jesus now… experiencing the glory of our Lord Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:7-8 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)  We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Please continue praying for Carol’s husband Oscar and their family members. Prayers should also continue for her brother Billy Peede and his family. The Lord was honored at Carol’s Memorial Service. We know that our faithful sister is with her Lord.

Tomorrow, I will finish up Philippians 3. The message is entitled, “ONE THING!” The Scriptures are Philippians 3:21-21. It would be a great idea to read through them tonight in preparation for the service tomorrow. Paul is a tremendous encourager. Even though the Philippians were under attack from false teachers, Paul shares an encouraging message with them. We all will benefit from what he said. As always, I appreciate your prayers for the message. Fletcher Dickerson’s Prayer is praying for the services. If you would like to join our Prayer Ministry, see Tom Mesing [412-439-2225] and he will add you to one of our Sunday morning prayer teams. You should also know that every Thursday at 12:30PM Coral Whichard hosts Prayer Cafe in our Sanctuary. Each of these prayer sessions is greatly appreciated. NOTHING happens at Grace Church without the prayers of God’s people.

Cheryl is cooking this Wednesday evening at 5:30PM. The menu is Parmesan chicken, mashed potatoes, green peas and a roll. We appreciate greatly those that cook each week for our Wednesday evening services. Sharon Jordan, Kristin Stahl and Catherine Ricks are scheduled to provide desserts. What would dinner be without dessert? Next week [1/24]/24] our Teens are providing our Wednesday evening dinner. ALL donations will help our teenagers go to camp. Let’s support our kids and help them attend summer camp.

Know this, you are loved and appreciated. Call a friend or family and invite them to join you for church tomorrow. What a huge blessing that would be if they choose to join you!!! God bless you and yours. [MARK YOUR CALENDARS EASTER SUNDAY IS MARCH 31, 2024]
