Hello Grace Church Family and Friends,
Things seem to be heating up in more ways than one. It is definitely hot outside we all are experiencing the high temperatures. There’s no doubt about that! Then again with school starting back along with ECU and PCC, the energy and excitement are moving into high gear. I kind of like it though. Things around the church are definitely picking up. With vacations in the rear-view mirror, we can get everyone focused on the Lord’s work at Grace Church. It’s always a bit challenging when our church family is coming and going. Speaking of our church, we are seeing new people and families every week. What a huge encouragement!!! It really is exciting preaching to new people each week. Thank you for inviting your families and friends. Let’s keep reaching out to others. Our Hope is Alive brothers are attending faithfully each week. Your friendliness has been mentioned to me. We actually interact weekly with the HIA house. Another blessing is seeing your offer to be more involved in other areas of ministry. We’re looking forward to AWANA getting started again with the 2023 AWANA KICKOFF scheduled for next Saturday, August 26th. Pastor Chuck has passed the AWANA torch off to David and Kristin Stahl. To say that they are excited is an understatement! As I said, Things are heating up around Grace Church.
Sunday’s message comes from James 5:7-12. It’s entitled “PATIENCE MATTERS.” I’m looking forward to sharing it with you. Pray for the service and for the message as it goes forth. James pulls no punches in his book. Though it is challenging, it is also impacting our spiritual lives in many ways. James leads us into the depths of spiritual maturity. Each week I’m learning things that help me see and love Jesus more. I hope that’s been your experience. Be in your place at 9:45am for Bible Study and at 11:00am for worship with your church family. Jesus loves His church and so should we. Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her. What a powerful verse for both the family and the church!
