Hello Grace Church Family and Friends,
Recently I made a new friend. He told me he lost his job. We chatted for a few minutes and then I asked him if I could pray for him. He said yes, and we prayed about his job situation and a few other things the Lord was addressing in his life. I wrote down his name and shared this with the men I pray with on Wednesday evenings. On Thursday my buddy tracked me down at Dunkin Donuts and shared with me that he had received a job offer. He was happy about that, and we thanked the Lord together. Isn’t it interesting how the Lord works? I share this story to encourage you in your prayer life. James said, We have not because we ask not! He’s right! Let’s keep our eyes on the Lord, our face in His Word and our knees down and expect answers from our Heavenly Father.
Last night I talked briefly with Pastor Tom. He and Laurie are excited about returning to Grace Church and our 2022 HOMECOMING SERVICE. Their bio is available at the Welcome Center. They are always excited about the Lord’s work. Pastor Tom’s message will be timely and appropriate for the occasion. Please invite your friends and family members to join us on Sunday, October 2 at 11:00AM. Our Grace Church Choir will sing as will our children. We will also have a “surprise” feature group singing at HOMECOMING. Don’t miss it. Bring enough food to share… we’ll all enjoy the food and fellowship.
Our 2022 AWANA CLUBS are off to a great start! Pastor Chuck has an awesome team serving with him this year. I’m so thankful for these leaders. They have the privilege of serving our families and our children. Pray for them as they serve. I stood at the front doors last Sunday as the children and their parents arrived for the beginning of the AWANA year. It was a blessing seeing the kids excited about a new year. We’ll keep you posted as the year progresses. We want to do our part to make sure their year is fruitful!
Our 2022 ENGAGE MISSIONS CONFERENCE is scheduled for October 28-30. [Friday-Sunday] Please mark your calendars now, and make plans to be involved. We have some new missionaries attending this year. You will want to meet them and hear what they have to share. The schedule is almost completed. We plan to have it available on HOMECOMING SUNDAY! Begin praying now. It’s going to be a great weekend for our missions ministry! I guarantee you that your heart will be moved for Christ and for the lost here in Greenville and around the world!
THANK YOU for your faithfulness to our Lord! The Lord is using you! Let Him strengthen you for the work He has for you. What a privilege to serve the Lord! He is worthy… let Him use you! You are loved and appreciated!
