Hello Grace Church Friends and Family!

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day. It’s going to be a beautiful day for sure! My mother passed away just over two years ago. I sure do miss her. The Lord chose her to be my mother. God never makes mistakes! There were four boys in our family. Certainly, NONE of us were perfect. What does that mean? Mom had to be tough, and she was. Looking back, I’m glad she was tough! Obviously, mom wasn’t perfect either. Yet, she was the Lord’s choice for the Meshaw boys. I thank the Lord for my dear mother every time she comes to mind! Again, I miss her, but because of Jesus, we’ll meet again. We’ll all be together, rejoicing around the Throne of God! Praise the Lord! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Mother’s Day!

We’ll be sharing from Jonah 1:4-17 (Jonah: But the LORD) in our Morning Worship service. Join me, and let’s pray for people to be saved and for the church family to be strengthened. The Lord called each us together for the days in which we live! I get excited thinking about how the Lord is using us. We are His people, His church, and the body of Christ. Sometimes I look around and see evil at every turn. I think about the world in Jesus’ days, they were wicked too! He called us to be His people… light in a dark world! I’m so thankful for the Word of God. Aren’t you? It’s powerful enough to save a soul and to change a life forever!!! We are His New Creations! Yes, this world is passing away! But doing His will is His plan for each of us. These are great days of opportunity for us to share our love and faith in Christ. Jesus said in John 17:18 (KJV) As Thou hast sent Me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

Be sure to check the church bulletin for upcoming events and activities. There will be no evening service tomorrow. Hopefully, you will enjoy your family time together. If you would like to become a member of Grace Church or follow the Lord in baptism, please contact us. Call the church [252-355-3500], or call one of our pastors. We’re looking forward to hearing from you. If we can help you speak with your children about baptism, please contact us. Again, our heart’s desire is to see people come to know the Lord and to follow Him faithfully.

Enjoy your Mother’s Day weekend! Keep your eyes on Jesus! He may come today!

3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Consider also, Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The Lord is good!
