Dear Praying Friends,
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. I want to share a few things about that subject. I want to say “Thank You” to all of my Grace Church family and friends. This includes everyone receiving this email! You all bring great joy and happiness to me and Cheryl. The daily ministry with you is a tremendous pleasure. Pastor Jamin and Pastor Chuck are great ministry partners. This is no way diminishes the life contributions our wives make. They are wonderful servants without us! We all know the truth there [grins]. We all walk through awfully deep valleys at times. I’ve been there and found you to be faithfully walking nearby. I can’t express how much that means to me. Your kind words, cards, calls, texts and prayers have strengthened me when I needed it! How could I ever say “Thank you” enough. Pastor Appreciation Month simply means that we do life together for Jesus’ sake and the Gospel. On behalf of our families, we deeply appreciate your faithfulness to our Lord Jesus and to His church. We love you all!
Tomorrow we will receive Communion together as the family of God. Do your very best to be in your place! The Lord’s Table is our time as a congregation to reflect on our constant need of forgiveness and renewal. Jesus instructed us to do this “In Remembrance of Him.” Also, I will continue our sermon series from Ephesians 6:12 sharing Part III of The Armor of God. You will be blessed and challenged at the same time. Your prayers are always deeply appreciated. We all know nothing divine happens without the work of God’s Spirit. Zechariah 4:6 says, Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
God bless you all. I look forward to worshipping together in the morning at Grace Church!
Love you all!
