Hello Praying Friends!
What an awesome day! Thank the Lord for it… what a great God we serve and worship. Psalm 33:20-22 (KJV) Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. Thank the Lord for His faithfulness… He is faithful to all of His children!
Let’s continue to pray for our ENGAGE Missions Conference scheduled for October 29-31 (Friday PM-Sunday AM). Our guest speaker is Dr. Ron Barnes, Jr. Ron heads up the ministries at Source of Light based in Madison, Ga. What a great work! James Byakika, one of our missionaries serves with SOL. Begin praying now for Ron and others that will be us for ENGAGE! We missed this conference in 2020! What a pleasure to host it again! Also, continue praying for Eddie Hilliard, a dear brother experiencing some great physical needs. Pray for our friends who have lost loved ones recently. Pray for our nation. Nations that forget God are under His judgment… keep praying for our people to turn back to God! Pray for our leaders to serve and protect our nation as they have sworn to do. Pray for our brothers and sisters in nations where persecution is legal. I hear regularly about the martyrdom of believers in various Islamic countries. These are our earthly brothers and sisters. Let’s ask the Lord for strength and endurance for them as their faith is tested.
HOMECOMING 2021 is just over one week away. Nathan Ricks, one of our teens, will be preaching on this special day. I remember my first message… it was short! Thank the Lord that my pastor picked it up and in doing so was gracious to me. You could say I was nervous!!! Pastor Ray Noland was a loving shepherd. He gave me my first opportunity to preach. I’ll always remember it! Nathan is eager to share with his church family! Pray for him and support him by being there. Our teens will also be participating in the service. I’m excited just thinking about it. Thank the Lord for all of our young people.
Tomorrow in our 11:00AM Worship Service I will continue preaching through Ephesians 6:10-20 on “The Armor of God II.” These messages are needed right now. Satan is attacking our country, our churches and our people. Everywhere the Gospel is preached it is under attack. We must be firm in our beliefs and in following Jesus. Souls are in the balance… we must go and share the Good News. People need to be saved! We certainly should be praying about this as well. Let’s pray together… exalting Jesus in the process.
