Dear Praying Friends,

I hope you’ve had a great week. Cheryl and I returned home this past Monday from her sister Kathy’s Memorial Service. We thank the Lord that Kathy was a dedicated believer. She almost sang her way into heaven!!! She loved music and loved to sing. Needless to say, there was some great singing at her service. Your prayers, encouraging texts and cards were a blessing to us. When we checked our mail this past Monday we were greeted with a number of beautiful cards. We knew we were being lifted up in prayer! THANK YOU!

Tomorrow I will begin a new series of messages from Ephesians 6:10-20. I’ve entitled these messages “The Armor of God.” After praying and speaking with Pastor Jamin and Pastor Chuck, we feel these messages are just what we need right now. I had been studying and praying through Jonah the Prophet. But after some study, prayer and encouragement from the brothers, I settled on Ephesians 6:10-20. Thank you for joining me in prayer regarding this passage and Sunday’s message. It’s going to fit right in with some of the issues we face today. We need this word!!! I am open for comments and prayer requests. Thank you for being available and prayerful. I really do appreciate your faithful prayers. They are much needed!

Continue to pray for Kathy’s family. Hank, Leo, Toni and Elna all profess Christ. Pray for them as they support each other in grieving the passing of their mother. There are some members of the family that need to be saved. Join us as we pray for them to come to faith in Christ. Join me in praying for Eddie Hilliard, Pat Hoffman, and a few others getting over covid. Prayers also continue for these families: the Robols, and the Garretts. Also, pray for our services. Next Wednesday we will host our first Wednesday dinner. You can sign up for the dinner at church tomorrow. AWANA begins at 5:00PM on Sunday evenings. We are so thankful for those serving in these good ministries. Our AHG Club cleaned around the church building today. Rhonda Pettitt and her leaders, and children are great servants! As you can see, there’s a lot going on at Grace Church.

Mark your calendars for HOMECOMING 2021 on Sunday, October 3. This year our teens will be ministering on this special day. Don’t miss the service as we celebrate the founding of Grace Church back in 1953. The young people will also provide some special music at this service, and our Grace Church Choir will sing as well! Also, bring your lunch. We’ll eat together! I’m excited about our choir singing again. They always bring a great message in music. Great things are before us! The Lord is good!

Rejoice Evermore!
