Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you for joining me in prayer tonight! We thank the Lord for hearing and answering our prayers. He is good… always faithful to care for His own! Answered prayers are proof that God faithfully watches over His children! The early church was known as a praying community. Hopefully, we see how the Lord worked on their behalf and pray accordingly! Seeking God’s will is a key aspect in praying. If our prayers are to simply get something from God, we are praying in flesh. Seeking the Lord and His will is what brings deep joy to us as God’s people. God hears and answers prayers that are offered for His glory, not ours. Aren’t you thankful for the peace and comfort that comes as we seek the Lord through prayer?
Tomorrow we are serving the Lord’s Supper. Please be in your place if at all possible. The Lord’s Table is a time of remembrance for each of us as children of God. It provides for a time of confession and remembrance. We are to remember often what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1 Peter 3:18 (KJV) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Lord, use these Scriptures to tender our hearts as your children. Let us remember Your death until You come again! Lord, strengthen Your church… we need You! In Jesus’ name, amen.
I’m looking forward to our worship time together!
God bless you and yours!
