Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Thank you for your love and prayers! As you can imagine, Cheryl and I have seen some dark days. Adam’s unexpected passing has had a major impact upon our walk with the Lord. The Lord has sustained us. His Spirit has brought comfort and peace to our hearts. Certainly our hearts are broken, and we cry together and sometimes alone. Yet, one thing remains… the presence of God. The Lord has proven Himself true to His Word. Without Him all would be lost. Your kind words and expressions of love have come to mind every day. I can’t thank you enough for your loving care for us. Even though we have not seen you, you have been with us! Your cards, calls, texts, and emails have made a difference for us. The Lord has used you in a marvelous way as we have walked through this dark valley. I really don’t have the words to tell you how grateful we are for you. The stack of cards alone is about 12 inches thick. Whereas, there are no words to describe our grief, your words of healing continue to bless us. You are proof of the immense value of the church of Jesus Christ!

Cheryl and I want to thank you for your contributions to the Meshaw Education Trust. Austyn is 13, and Cyler is 10. Every gift received will be used for their education. Chandra, Adam’s wife deeply appreciates your support for the MET Fund. You can give to the MET Fund at gracechurchnc.com through ONLINE GIVING. Those of you that are grandparents know the love we have for Austyn and Cyler. We are committed to their care. We never imagined that this would happen. Yet, the Lord knows, and we will be there for the boys. In your own way, you are caring for them as well! The family of God matters. Praise the Lord!

Lastly, I want to thank Pastor Jamin and Pastor Chuck for their good work among you. I have been praying for them. They love you as I do! Our deacons have been faithful as well. I deeply appreciate what they do weekly. What a great group of Christ-like servants! Given everything that has happened in 2020, the Lord has been faithful. Little did we realize in 2019 what would happen in 2020. The Lord brought together His servants to minister to us through these unusual days. We can be thankful that the Lord knows best. I am planning to preach next Sunday morning (8/16/20) in our services. I covet your prayers as I prepare my heart and next Sunday’s (8/16/20) message. As of now, I plan to finish up the “Perilous Times” series from II Timothy 3:14-17. As always, your prayers are deeply appreciated! Cheryl and I love you and look forward to seeing you tomorrow. We plan to see those that attend the 9:00am and 11:00am services. Enjoy your evening… the Lord is using you to mend our hearts. God bless you!

Psalm 34:18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
