Every so often a former member will contact me via email to thank me for our OUTWARD>>> email blasts! They want me to know that it is through the emails that they keep up with us and with what is happening at Grace Church. I hope you appreciate them as well 😊. Over the past few weeks my heart has been stirred as I have contemplated evangelism and discipleship. The need is so clear and now pressing in upon my heart and soul. We need to be more intentional in the way we share the Gospel. Just last week during Communion I looked over our congregation and guests, I was burdened just thinking about the possibility that some in my presence were not ready to meet the Lord. Our Bibles tell us that Jesus could come at any moment. We need to make our salvation sure and certain! We must be diligent in the way we share the Gospel with our children and friends. What if we don’t tell them? They could perish for lack of a witness! Please pray with me about this. Plus, if you are truly saved and have never been baptized please call me or one of our pastors and let’s make an appointment to talk about your next step of obedience as a Christian. These are not my plans for our church; they are the Lord’s plans that we are to obey. Remember, together is always better. The Lord has brought us together to share the Gospel with our city! Pray with me and go with me into Greenville so that others may know Jesus as we know Him!
Ninety-five percent of all Christians have never won a soul to Christ. Eighty percent of all Christians do not consistently witness for Christ. Less than two percent are involved in the ministry of evangelism. Seventy-one percent do not give toward the financing of the great Commission. SOURCE: Michael Parrott
I am looking forward to Sunday’s message from I Corinthians 13. We are working our way through these thirteen verses in a sermon series called “Love A More Excellent Way.” For over five months now I have been reading and meditating on these Scriptures. Needless to say, they are at the core of what the Lord expects from us as His church. Just think about how word would spread all over this area if we genuinely took to heart Paul’s words in I Corinthians 13. Loving God and loving each other is a powerful way to share the Gospel message. Pray for me as I continue to preach through this passage. It is obvious; the Lord wants to do a unique work in you and me. See you Sunday!
I want to thank Jamin, Chuck and Vicki for their good work among us! Let them know how much you appreciate their faithfulness to the Lord and to His church. I can tell you, they love you and they love serving at Grace Church. Cheryl and I agree… what a great privilege we have to serve you and to serve with you! God bless you… see you Sunday at 9:45 am for Sunday School.
Telling others the Good News!
