Knowing Jesus gives every believer an ever expanding view of life! Without Jesus there is no real life. Jesus is life… abundant life! Jesus said in John 10:10 The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (JESUS) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Christianity does not define the “abundant life” as a life filled with things, be they possessions or pleasures. Abundant life is knowing Christ and growing and maturing in the knowledge of Christ. Isn’t it interesting how living for Jesus can become so confusing? Think with me for a moment. Just as Jesus has a plan for your life; so does Satan. Perspective here is everything! Satan shows us all kinds of things, options if please… things that glitter like a fishing lure that catch our attention and then bam we’re caught up in this world and the things of this world. We begin to think that we have something to hold on to and then poof it’s gone!!! But when we keep our focus on Christ and follow Him closely, abundant life flows in us and through us. You know Him as He knows you! Jesus said in John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent. What is your view of life and how are you living it out? Remember, Jesus is life… real life!

This Sunday is going to be a tremendous day of worship and praise! We will have as our special guests two missionary families, the Wingroves and the Meshaws! Cheryl and I have known Mel and Jan since 1974. At one time, they were our neighbors. We taught together at Wilmington Christian Academy. They have been missionaries for more than 30 years. They bring a wealth of Christian experience with them to Grace Church. You will enjoy the Wingroves! As you know, the Meshaws have been in Kenya for almost two years. This is their first visit home since moving to Kijabe, Kenya and the Rift Valley Academy. Needless to say, we are very excited that they could make Grace Church their first stop before joining friends and family in the Wilmington area. Please be here to welcome these two missionary families. Let’s let them know that their work has not gone unnoticed!

Tonight we are having a Potluck Dinner at 5:30 pm. Our other Wednesday activities begin at 6:30 pm. Come on out and let’s fellowship together as brothers and sisters!

Enjoy your day! 2 Peter 3:18 says, But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
