The Apostle Paul was executed for his faith in Christ! He gave his life for Jesus and the Gospel. His early religious training put him on a collision course with the very Christ he lived to destroy! Paul’s beginning was marked by religious hatred and personal pride! The fact is this; Paul hated Jesus and persecuted Christians whenever and wherever he found them. However, the Lord in His grace saved Paul and sent him throughout the known world at that time to preach Jesus and the Gospel. Take a seat with the aged apostle in his jail cell. If you notice, he is reflective and peaceful. As he takes stock of his past three decades he concludes, 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. One thing sticks out for sure, Paul finished well! Someone has said, “It’s not how you start that counts, but how you finish!” Join me and let’s praise the Lord for His grace, mercy and peace! Don’t let the devil beat you up with your past! Instead, let your Lord bless you with your future! Fight on brothers and sisters, and remember the victory has been won in Christ! 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL REMINDER: Grace Church has been a hub of activity this week. Preparations are being made for an exciting week of VBS fun for our church family and friends! Thank you Kelly Shelby for your hard work and thank you to everyone who has stepped in the gap to help this coming week! It all begins this Sunday night at 6:00PM. Keep in mind that VBS is your opportunity not only to serve, but to reach out and touch someone for Jesus! Both adults and children enjoy VBS… Let’s make this coming week fruitful days of service for Christ! Thank you again for caring and for serving our families, our children, and our community!

I can’t believe it, but we are halfway through 2017. Sunday is review day for us. It is VISION RENEWAL SUNDAY! We will take a look back at where we have been and then look forward to where the Lord is leading us in 2017! Be faithful and be in your place for Sunday. We will share updates from various areas of ministry. Your prayers are appreciated as we make final preparations for VISION RENEWAL SUNDAY! We will be recognizing a faithful servant of the Lord this Sunday as well. I can’t say too much here, but it will be special! Please don’t miss it!

God bless you and yours. Keep your eyes on Jesus… what a Savior!
