I trust you have had an enjoyable week! As you know, I am a warm weather creature so this week has been just fine for me. Earlier this week I had a doctor’s appointment. I am not a fan of going to the doctor or the dentist. I have doctor friends and dentist friends so this is nothing personal. I guess you could say I get a little nervous. When I arrived at the office everyone treated me as if they had known me for years. They were kind and helpful, which was a relief. Think with me about this for a minute. What if we treated people that came to our church just like the folks at the doctor’s office treated me? What do you think would happen? They would very likely want to come back and be with us again. Right? As you come to the services, look for new people! Sometimes your friends bring their friends with them to church. Be sure to welcome them and make them feel at home! They might even come back and look you up! This is also true for Sunday Bible study times! Be a friend and make a friend… you will be glad you did!
Our Sunday School meets at 9:45AM. Please make every effort to be on time! This Bible study hour is crucial for your spiritual growth as a follower of Christ. If you are not presently attending a Sunday morning Bible study, please get connected with a class. You will make new friends and find great opportunities to fellowship with other members of your Grace Church family! You will also be able to get more involved in other ministries active in the church. If you want to join a class, please call Seth (252-355-3500), and he will point you in the right direction. Our teachers prepare every week to share God’s Word. They love what they do, and they would love to have you in their classes.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND is Sunday, May 28th. We will not be having an Evening Worship Service on this weekend! Enjoy your time with your families, and pray for our nation. As Christians, we possess the power to alter the direction of our country. The Lord calls us to pray for our national, state and local leaders. Please take some time and pray! The Lord hears and answers the prayers of His righteous people! Let’s do this together! God bless you!
2 Chronicles 7:14 … if my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
Christ Above All!
