Dear Pastor Mike and Grace Church,
I hope you are well and the Lord is blessing your ministry! It is October and the conference is around the corner. I just realized that I never sent you my bio. Here it is:
I am a pastor of South Coast Community Church in Ukunda, Kenya – a Church that I founded two and half years ago after leaving a church that I had been pastoring for about 7 years. This was a revitalization project that went very well. It was about 30 people when we began, and it grew to 200 by God’s strength and grace.
I am also the founder and director of SERVE Kenya Ministries. This is a Ministry of Denton Bible Church in Denton Texas. SERVE exists to Cultivate, Equip and Mobilize Christian Leaders Worldwide (for us specifically in Africa). We have overseen the training of over 1000 pastors and Church leaders; we have 342 pastors currently in training around the country.
My wife, Allison, and I have been married for 9 years and have two adopted children from Kenya. Anjela, our daughter is 9, and BJ, our son is 5. They are a joy to parent and have amazing God-size stories.
I did Information Technology in Kenya, before leaving it to pursue my Bible Training Passion at Denton Bible Church in 2001. I graduated from Denton Bible’s Missionary Training Institute in May 2004 and left for Kenya in June of the same year to start SERVE Kenya Ministries. I am currently a student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.
Blessings!
