Almost daily people share with me their problems! I am so thankful that God’s Word addresses life’s issues with life changing truth! The Apostle Paul describes the Gospel as being “the power of God unto salvation!” Consider the demon possessed man in Mark 5:1-20. You talk about problems, this man had PROBLEMS!!! According to Matthew, Mark and Luke his life was for the most part destroyed. His life was falling apart. He lost his family, his job, his sanity and his health! He was but an empty shell of a man! He had no hope! Then he met Jesus! Jesus cast many demons out of him and changed his life! The power of Satan had gripped him and torn him apart! Jesus gave him new LIFE! The Word of God is filled with examples of people with PROBLEMS… BIG PROBLEMS! Jesus is able to save and change anyone who comes to Him for help! Jesus gave him his life back! Jesus gave him real LIFE! Jesus Christ is sufficient to help you and heal you regardless of the PROBLEMS you face! What a great story! What a great Savior! What a great life… NEW LIFE! 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” So then, “What’s your problem?” Take it to Jesus! Turn to Jesus! HE IS SUFFICIENT!

Our recent VBS blessed and helped me to see our church families in a new and fresh way! What a great opportunity the Lord gave me and Cheryl with our families! I want to encourage you as a dad and as a mom to seek the Lord and to point your children to Christ. Remember, those little eyes and ears are always taking in what they see and what they hear from you! Love the Lord with all your heart and make it clear that Jesus Christ is Lord of all you are and all you have!!! This is a fallen world. Our children need hope! They need to see that you have hope! Let Jesus be seen in you. Pursue Christ and His purpose for your life… your need HIM and so do your children! Someone has said, “The church is only as strong as its families.” Think on these things!

See you tonight at 6:30 pm for Wednesday Night Prayers. Join us!!!
