Soon after Paul’s conversion to Christ and Christianity, Luke wrote in Acts 9:11, “And the Lord said unto him (Ananias), Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth.” I have always found the last three words of this verse very interesting. Why? Luke writes about Saul, “Behold, he prayeth.” Think about it! How essential is prayer to you, your family, your church? Very!!! Through prayer we enter into the presence of our Lord… we magnify Him… we humble ourselves to do His will. Some things never change! Notice what Paul told his church friends at Thessalonica in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “Pray without ceasing.” Brothers and sisters, let’s be known as a praying church! Let’s do this together!
