Hello Grace Church Family and Friends!

God bless you all! The Lord is good. He is at work all around us. Being thankful is a huge part of living out our Christian faith. Sometimes I look around and ask myself, “What is going on in this world?” The Lord quietly reminds me that He is still in control of all things on earth and in heaven! Aren’t you thankful for God’s grace and mercy that you experience on a daily basis?

Tomorrow we will partake in Communion together. We will also be sharing the details for our ENGAGE MISSIONS CONFERENCE which begins on this coming Friday, October 25th and runs through Sunday morning, October 27th. It’s going to be a wonderful time here at Grace Church. Be in every session and make sure your children are as well. One of the unique features of ENGAGE is that we provide KIDS’ CONNECTIONS for our children K-5 through 5th grade. Special plans have been made with our children in mind. Teen activities are also included! They will have a blast!!! GUARANTEED! Again, take advantage of these special events planned for our families. We will be sharing all of this information and more tomorrow here at Grace Church.

Your help for our brothers and sisters in western Carolina and other areas impacted by Hurricane Helene has been a huge blessing. I have been amazed at what has been accomplished over the past few weeks. THANK YOU for all of the things you have donated to the relief efforts. Our praying and giving has been used to bless people that we do not know and have never seen. It’s truly amazing what has been accomplished. Joe and Jane Shrader took a load of things over this past Tuesday, as did Chuck and Judy Barber. A number of folks from Grace Church have assisted with the cleanup efforts as well.

Pray for our ENGAGE MISSIONS CONFERENCE, Stephanie Powell, Lori Willis, Becky Thorpe, Jessica Richardson, Becky Preston family (Her brother Joe passed away), Elsie Nichols, Sarah Skinner, and the people all over the southeast devastated by Hurricane Helene. There are tremendous needs throughout our world and country. Let me remind you that Jesus taught us to pray. Prayers also should be offered for our upcoming elections. These are important days here at Grace Church. Be sure to exercise your right to VOTE in our upcoming elections. Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith! Jesus is LORD!
