Dear Grace Church Family and Friends!
I hope you’re having a great Saturday! Recently I read these words by D L Moody, “A man may be a good doctor without loving his patients; a good lawyer without loving his clients; a good geologist without loving science; but he cannot be a good Christian without love.” In tomorrow’s message from Romans 13:8-14, I will be referencing this quote by the great Chicago preacher DL Moody. Please plan to be in your place for Sunday’s Bible Study at 9:45AM and for our Worship Service at 11:00AM. Invite your friends and family to join you. We’re going to have a great time together in the Lord’s Church. See you there!
As most of you know, we have supported the Gideon’s for many years. Our special Gideon representative will be Mr. Roy Honeycutt. Roy will present an update on the Gideon’s International Ministry. Cheryl and I participated in their Pastor’s Appreciation Banquet this past Thursday. The testimonies of how God uses His Word to bring sinners to faith in Christ were nothing short of remarkable! I wish you could have heard them. We have supported the Gideon’s through our Faith Promise Missions giving for over twenty years. THANK YOU FOR GIVING! We thank the Lord for His work through these dedicated men and women. Information will be available tomorrow if you would like to get involved in this good work.
Let’s be praying for the services tomorrow and for our nation as well. As you know, we are in an election season. Early voting has already begun. As Christians, it is our wonderful privilege and responsibility to vote for our local, state and national public servants. Please exercise your right to vote. We all have the privilege of voting our consciences as Christians. Please do so! We live in the greatest country in the world. Let the Lord use you for the good of our great nation. Cheryl and I intend to do so, and I hope you do the same.
Keep your eyes on Jesus and your knees down. As followers of Christ, it is our awesome privilege to bring our burdens and cares to the Lord. Do it! You will never regret praying. The Lord is faithful to care for His own. Blessings!
