Good evening, Grace Church,

Tomorrow morning, we will be baptizing a number of our teenagers and adults. Please do not miss this service! My message will focus primarily on the meaning and importance of baptism. It’s going to be a wonderful service focused upon the Word of God and upon those making a public profession of their faith. As I said, it’s going to be a special time together as the family of God.

Attention will be given to Matthew 28:16-20 (KJV) Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17  And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

We will also spend time in Acts 2:37-41 (KJV) Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

We will also have folks coming to become members of our Grace Church fellowship! Also, our Men’s Fellowship Breakfast went very well. Everything was great… we had 65 in attendance. We had a number of guests as well. As I said, the Lord is good. The Spirit was at work. All in all, it was a great time of fellowship!!!

Our heavenly Father, open our hearts toward one another and toward you. Make us to be of one heart and one mind and one accord, generous in giving, glad to participate in anything that advances this marvelous work going on in the midst of a world which is rapidly drifting into darkness and emptiness and coldness. We thank you, Lord, for the warmth of your Spirit, and for your power and your grace among us, and we ask that you strengthen us in it, in Jesus’ name, Amen. [Ray Stedman]

God bless you… you are loved!
