Hello Grace Church Family and Friends!

2023 is almost gone! 2024 is just ahead! I’m so thankful for you and how the Lord has used us this year to impact those around us. We’re finished 2023 strong! As I’ve mentioned before, I love the days between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our programs and fellowships were awesome! The Lord is good… let’s praise Him together! Psalm 150:6 Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Tomorrow I will be sharing from Philippians 3:1-11. My title is “REAL PASSION.” It doesn’t take long to see and feel Paul’s passion for Jesus and the Gospel. I think these Scriptures will be great as we move forward into 2024. Our Prayer Team for tomorrow is Tom Mesing’s Men’s group. Ruby Dickerson’s Ladies team will be the first for 2024. This is a great ministry. You can contact Tom Mesing (412-439-2225) if you would like to join our Sunday Moring Prayer Ministry. PRAYER MATTERS!

Our Wednesday evening dinners resume this coming Wednesday at 5:30pm. Jane Shrader will be cooking. Her helpers are Wipa and Charlotte Rich. Those bringing desserts are: Stephanie Moye, Mike James and Julia Jones. This too is a great ministry to our Grace Church family. We appreciate all of those that cook and bring desserts. ALL of our Wednesday evening activities will resume this coming Wednesday, January 3 at 6:30pm. You’re all invited.

As you might imagine I read many encouraging words in preparation for Sunday’s and Wednesday evenings. Here’s two to take with you into 2024. Ligon Duncan’s testimony, “You can take everything away from me…you can take my life from me, but you cannot take Jesus from me, because when I was saved I was justified and sanctified, and I will be glorified, and in this body and with these eyes I will see Him. Because He’s not just my ticket, He’s my Treasure.” Vance Havner, the country preacher once said, “If you are a Christian, you are not a citizen of this world trying to get to heaven; you are a citizen of heaven making your way through this world.”

Cheryl and I enjoyed Christmas Day with our family. I hope you had a wonderful time with your family and friends as well. We’re looking forward to 2024. The Lord is going to use us to reach our families, our friends, our Pitt County community and the world with the “Good News” of the Gospel. Let’s do this together, while at the same time expecting our Lord Jesus to return at any moment! Blessings in 2024!
