Hello Grace Church Family and Friends,
Stay warm out there! As you know, I am a warm weather creature… Florida-like conditions! The Lord knows what we need so we’ll leave it to Him! Agreed? I’m looking forward to our time together tomorrow. Make plans now to join us for Bible Study at 9:45am and for Worship at 11:00am. Make it a priority to have your children in their classes as well. I can’t think of anything more important for our families considering the days in which we live. Training up our children to follow Jesus should be a priority in our Christian homes. As moms and dads, God’s desire is that our families reflect His love for us as His people. Let’s do everything we can to honor the Lord by raising our children to honor Him!
Tomorrow’s message is connected to Philippians 3:20-21. It explains the “change” that takes place in us when Jesus returns for His church. My time in Philippians 3 generated some curiosity about the word “CHANGE” used in Philippians 3:20-21 (KJV) For our conversation/citizenship is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself. Yes, that word “CHANGE” got to me. In the morning, we will talk about what it means and apply it to our daily lives. Pray for the services and invite a friend or two to join you. The Lord hears and answers our prayers. Let’s be faithful to carry our burdens to the Lord… HE CARES!
Wednesday night’s dinner will be provided by our YOUTH MINISTRY. The menu includes a variety of soups and sandwiches. Why is our Youth Group preparing dinner for us? These dinners give us an opportunity to help them pay for a Youth Missions Trip. It’s a good way for each of us to help them. You can see Pastor Chuck for details. Again, as I mentioned earlier, we are committed to raising up a generation of children and teens that love God and have a heart to serve Him. We all can do something for sure. Our kids face lots of challenges to their faith. They need to know that we care about them and that we support them. I’m onboard, join me!
Our Ladies Prayer Team for this Sunday will be led by Karen Martinez. Every Sunday a prayer team meets in my office to pray for our services. They go to my office after Sunday School to pray. I’m sure they would not mind your sharing any request you might have with them before they begin. Prayers matter around Grace Church. You can join a Prayer Team by speaking with Tom Mesing (412-439-2225). Tom will help you join a team. We love our Prayer Ministries here at Grace Church. Prayer Cafe meets on Thursdays at 12:30pm in our church sanctuary. You can speak with Coral Whichard about our Thursday prayer meeting.
Enjoy your Saturday. Call a friend or family member to join you tomorrow for church. Remember, our AWANA Clubs meet at 5:00pm on Sunday evenings. This ministry is a community wide ministry. Please do not hesitate to contact David and Kristin Stahl about our AWANA ministry to our children. (252-412-8565-stahl_david@hotmail.com). See you tomorrow!
Jesus is Lord!
