Hello, Grace Church! Showers of blessings continue to fall on Pitt County. The songwriter calls them “showers of blessings.” Psalm 100:5 says, For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His truth endureth to all generations. As children of God, we can rejoice in the goodness of our God. Jesus taught His disciples to approach God relationally. He said that we should begin our prayers with these words, “Our Father who is in heaven.” Let those words sink in for a moment. We have a Heavenly Father that cares for us more than we know. When I ask a friend of mine how he is doing, he says, “Better than I deserve.” I agree with him! What a great God we worship and serve. He’s always there anytime I need Him. Our prayer lives define our spiritual relationship with God.  This Sunday we have some wonderful things happening:   First, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM we will be hosting a baby shower for Kwameisha Stancil in the Parlor. Kwameisha is registered at Walmart. David and Kwameisha have a new son. Josiah Noel Stancil was born on Friday, April 21st. Let’s show the Stancils the love of Christ as they welcome their new baby boy!Secondly, we welcome Missionaries Donnie and Ruth McDonald. The McDonalds served in Japan from July of 1986 through October of 2022 for 36 years. They will be presenting us with an update on how the Lord is working in their lives at the present.Thirdly, this coming Thursday, May 4th is the NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER. Our goal this year is to involve our entire church family in this special day. In many ways our nation is in a crisis. We need a revival from the church house to the White House. A NDOP Guide will be available this Sunday morning. It is well done! It will assist us in our praying. We will also be signing up for prayer times for around the clock prayer coverage for our country and our leaders. Many of us signed up Wednesday evening. You will be able to sign up this Sunday at our Welcome Center.  The Lord continues to teach me that when I follow His leading He takes care of me. The same is true for His church. As we obey Him, His hand of blessing rests upon us. THANK YOU for faithfully supporting our missionaries. We not only support HARVEST CHILD CARE MINISTRIES located in Duffield, Virginia we also have many families with children on the mission field. We have never missed sending out a support check since we started our Faith Promise Missions ministry! The Lord is good! Faithfulness matters! Thank you for sharing in this vision!!!We love you and look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday. Join us for Bible study at 9:45am and for Worship at 11:00am. Enjoy your weekend!Mike and Cheryl <><
