Hello Grace Church Family and Friends!
THE WONDERS OF CHRISTMAS ABOUND! Without losing the true meaning of Christmas, we can rejoice in the matchless love of our Heavenly Father. These days between Thanksgiving and Christmas offer us a number of opportunities to magnify and to glorify our Savior Jesus Christ. On the other hand, if we are not careful, the activities and the celebrations of the season can cast a thin shadow upon the overwhelming wonders of Christmas. Truly these wonders are wrapped up in the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Think with me for a moment… God became a man! John’s Gospel makes it clear and plain, God Himself entered our world of fallen humanity. For what? Literally, Jesus became a curse for us that we might be reconciled to God. Connecting the dots here takes us on a journey from Genesis through the Revelation. Over the Bible’s 1,189 chapters and some 31,000 verses, God displays His matchless work of redemption. A closer look highlights our personal relationship with God. Everyone doesn’t have a clear understanding of the meaning of Christmas. It truly is easy to lose one’s focus at Christmas. Let’s agree on this… CHRISTMAS IS ALL ABOUT JESUS!
On this Sunday night, December 19th @ 5:30PM, our Grace Church Choir and Children’s Choir are sharing with us “LOVE IS BORN… HOPE IS HERE.” Make plans now to celebrate Christmas together here at Grace Church. Weekly, our choir, musicians and sound team provide music and media for our church services.Every Sunday and Wednesday of the year these brothers and sisters practice preparing for Sunday morning. Be here this Sunday evening to celebrate with them the birth of our Savior!!! As I was thinking about what to write here today, it hit me just how much effort and work goes into our Christmas worship ministry. This is one of two times [The other is Easter] in the year that we can appreciate these brothers and sisters. Come on over and let’s worship the Lord together. After Sunday evening’s presentation we will have finger foods and fellowship in our Fellowship Hall. Bring a plate of finger foods and snacks. We will have sweet tea, coffee and lemonade to drink. I always enjoy our times of fellowship! I know you do too! I’ll see you there!
Sunday morning’s message is entitled, “God’s Perfect Timing” from Galatians 4:4-5. I’m excited about sharing it with you. Be sure to invite your friends and family members. Take a minute to pray before you begin asking folks to join you. The Christmas season is an open door itself. No doubt some will join you. I’m praying now about whom to ask. Join me and let’s do this together. The Lord is good… HE GOES BEFORE US!!!
Again, MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and yours!!! Let’s celebrate together the birth of our Savior and King. Let’s give Him the preeminence He deserves! Colossians 1:18 highlights this grand thought, “That in all things HE might have the preeminence.” What a blessed way to celebrate Christmas… making much of JESUS!
JESUS is LORD!
