Dear Praying Friends,

Tomorrow’s Scripture is one of my favorites from the Book of Acts. Without the power of God’s Spirit, we accomplish nothing for the Lord or His Kingdom. The flesh always fails us where God’s work is concerned. The power of prayer is certainly front and center throughout the history of the first century church. The first time the disciples gathered together after Jesus’ ascension was for prayer. In preparation for tomorrow give the Lord your heart for prayer. There is no better way of glorifying the Lord than through prayer.

Cheryl is still Florida gathered with her family around Kathy’s bed. She remains in hospice care. I can’t thank you enough for your prayers. Cheryl left last Sunday morning to go to Florida. She knows you are praying… your prayers are very encouraging to Cheryl and her family. Thelma Carlisle (Ken Robol’s Mother) passed away yesterday afternoon. Keep his family in your prayers. I’m sure you have friends or family dealing with covid. I know of a few cases myself. Also, remember the church in Afghanistan, the recovery efforts from Hurricane Ida, and the relief work in Haiti. A little later this evening I plan to think back through my prayer requests. Please remember to pray for our services in the morning as well. We will gather around the Lord’s Table for Communion in our 11:00AM Worship Service.

The early church provides an uplifting picture of answered prayers. What a great God we serve… a God we can trust and rest in. His mercies are new every single day. Prayer matters! Keep praying… our Heavenly Father has blessed us with access to His throne! Let’s meet there together!!!

Philippians 4:19 (KJV) But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Be thankful!
