Grace Church Prayer Update 8-15-21

It was hot today… I hope you enjoyed it! I like the heat. I’m not much for cold weather. The Lord is good. He watches out for us. We can surely trust Him! Knowing that the Lord is with us helps us to keep things in perspective. Asaph [Psalm 73] struggled with keeping his eyes on the Lord. Psalm 73 teaches us that the Lord has the final say over the final day of planet earth. Our destiny is in His almighty hands. What a peaceful thought. His coming is just ahead. Jesus made it clear that He would come when we think not. We get so hooked up into this world that we forget what He said. Know this… today may be the day Jesus comes again. Evil is everywhere! Then again, the eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good. The Spirit of God is moving among us! Count on it, Jesus knows exactly what is happening here. Be not dismayed my friends. Greater is He Who is within us, than He that is in the world. 1 John 4:4 (KJV) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world. How’s that? Keep it right there… JESUS IS LORD!!!

Tomorrow’s message impresses upon us the truth Jesus taught concerning death to self. There are many passages where Jesus teaches this powerful truth. I will use Luke 9:23-27. Please pray as I prepare my own heart to hear from the Spirit. I’m asking the Lord to speak to my own heart. He will do what we ask Him to do. Be open and let the Spirit of God convict you where needed. The words of Jesus here in Luke are definitely challenging! I prayed over three different passages. The words of Jesus here were most convicting. I need them… ask the Lord to use them in your heart as well.

Keep praying for our services in the morning, DR Daniels, Kathy Bowen, Pat Hoffman, Dave Pettitt, Tricia Garrett and family, Dom’s friend Mark, students, parents and teachers, Eddie Hilliard a job, and any missionary you can think of. Please add anyone you feel necessary to add. Thanks for praying.

Matthew 7:7 (KJV) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Know this… you are loved and appreciated!
