Hello Grace Church Family and Friends,

Here we are almost mid-year! It’s hard to believe, but half of 2021 is almost in the books. Things appear to be leveling out some. Covid still has a presence, but not as much as in past months. Thank the Lord! 1 Thessalonians 5:24 Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it. I do appreciate your faithfulness! Your faithful attendance, your faithful giving, your continued generous support for Faith Promise Missions and of course, your love for Jesus and His church! Seeing more light at the end of the tunnel is certainly very encouraging! The LORD is good!

Memorial Day weekend is before us. Be safe if you are traveling! Remembering our fallen heroes is a huge part of who we are as Americans. I can’t tell you how many times I have driven past the National Cemetery on Market Street in Wilmington. Last year we actually visited there on Memorial Day 2020. Be sure to explain to your children the significance of Memorial Day. They need to know why it is a national holiday. Take a minute or so to pray for our nation and our leaders. Maybe at your family lunch or gathering someone can share about Memorial Day. YouTubeoffers some great short videos that explain the history of Memorial Day. Check them out. Sunday’s message from Proverbs 14:34 will be appropriate for the weekend’s remembrance. The blood of America’s fallen heroes stains the soil of nations all over the globe. Don’t forget! Freedom isn’t free!

Proverbs 14:34 (KJV) Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

Sunday’s service will include the baptism of Mackenzie Gay. It’s going to be beautiful. I love to see people saved! I also love to see them baptized! Don’t you? Well, it’s going to happen this Sunday!!! Be sure to invite a friend to join you for church and be safe as you enjoy this Memorial Day weekend! You are loved and appreciated! Our time together is always valued… it’s always important to me!

Romans 11:36 (KJV) For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to Whom be glory forever. Amen.

God bless you and yours!
