Dear Prayer Partners!
I hope you are having a great day. Tomorrow we will continue our series through Isaiah 53. What a powerful passage of Scripture! The OT is packed with prophecies regarding the coming of Christ and His death. But none are more graphic and shocking than what we see here in Isaiah. Pray for me as I share these powerful words regarding the death of our Lord Jesus. Some call this chapter “The Forbidden Chapter.” Our Jewish friends may have never heard it read before. Some consider it “forbidden” reading in the Synagogue. Others deny that this is the case. If you search YouTube for videos on the subject you will see what I mean by the phrase. The fact is that Isaiah 53 is a prophecy written some 700 years before the death of Israel’s Messiah. We all need to hear it and grasp its meaning. Pray as I preach it tomorrow. It truly is a captivating passage. Read it and let the Spirit strike your heart with its truth.
Pray as well for our country. Pray for our leaders all over. There is so much hatred and violence all around. As Christians our hearts ought to be broken over what we see daily in various parts of our nation. As God’s people we ought to be light in these dark troublesome times. People need to see Jesus in us. We must stand for righteopusness and justice with the heart of Christ. What a great time to point others to Jesus. People need Jesus for sure. Hearts are hard… Jesus tenders hearts as He changes lives. Prayers for sure!!!
God bless you. Pray for our family. I know you have been praying… please continue. Cheryl and I struggle at times… thank you for praying! We love you! Isaiah 40:8 (KJV) The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Thank you! PM <><
