OUTWARD>>>

Hello Grace Church Family and Friends,

This is a special weekend for us and for our church. Seldom do we have the privilege of hosting servants of the Lord like Pastor Joseph and Sherry Jacowitz. Let me explain, Joe and Sherry’s ministry includes pastoring a local church, a preaching and teaching ministry through the printed page, plus a missionary outreach that includes cooperative efforts in many nations around the world. So, yes, we are privileged to have Pastor Joe and Sherry with us this weekend. As I have mentioned, I have not seen this dear family in many years. Yet, our reunion this weekend will be fresh and fulfilling because our hearts are one when it comes to serving Jesus and sharing the Gospel. Please make every effort to join us for Joe’s testimony of salvation and calling to the ministry at 9:45AM and for his message entitled, “Proofs of the Believer’s Security and Victory in Christ” from Romans 8:31-39 in our 11:00AM Worship Service. After our 11:00AM service we will have a family lunch in our Fellowship Hall. Take the liberty to invite your family and friends to this special time of fellowship! Please call Vicki at 252-355-3500 or go online at gracechurchnc.com to rsvp.

Over the past few weeks I have been thinking about The Good Samaritan in Luke 10. Jesus told the story answering a question by one of His religious adversaries. The Good Samaritan seized opportunities that he had to serve the Lord. While some “passed by” with a glance, this unlikely hero became an example for us all! He seized the opportunity to care. He did something about what he saw. He seized the opportunity to give as well. His generosity is legendary. His love was demonstrated by his giving! Lastly, the Good Samaritan, though nameless and faceless, was the least likely person to help this fallen man. He was a Samaritan!!! The Samaritan’s humility and generosity grabs our attention! Humility and generosity should certainly mark our love and service for Jesus!

The summer months are quickly coming to an end. School will begin later this month. ECU and PCC students will be arriving soon as well. Thank you for your faithfulness. Our weekly attendance, like last summer, has been steady. We praise the Lord for our new families. Some great folks, from various areas of the country, have been faithfully attending our services. Over the past few weeks I have reminded you about our weekly budget needs. It is no secret that we all come and go during this time of the year. Our weekly financial needs are the same for each month of the year, just over $7,000.00 weekly. Faithfully trust the Lord with your giving. He is faithful as we trust Him! Give online if necessary at gracechurchnc.com. Generosity is always a good thing!

2 Corinthians 8:9 (KJV) For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich.

The Apostle Paul closes the Book of Philippians with these words, Philippians 4:19 (KJV) But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Keep your eyes on Jesus. What a Savior!!!
