Summer is almost gone and school has started! The Lord blessed us over the past few months. We never really experienced a summer slump! The “slump” never hit us! Thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord’s House! Our summer preaching covered The Attributes of God. We have been talking about “The God of the Gospel.” We have preached on The Love of God and The Wrath of God! We have preached on Grace, Peace and the Goodness of God! Your faithful attendance provided weekly motivation for me and Pastor Jamin to prepare our hearts for the proclamation of God’s Word! Sometimes covering children’s classes is tough when people are coming and going. You met the challenge and the Lord has sent us some families from our community to follow up on. So looking forward, invite your friends and neighbors to join you at Grace Church! You might be surprised at how many people never receive an invitation to church. Be their friend and point them to Christ! With AWANA beginning this Sunday night at 5:00 PM, think and pray about who you might invite to join your family on Sunday evenings! The Lord made you for Himself! You are a “New Creation” in Christ. You are His workmanship, crafted for good works! The Lord is good! Take a minute and praise the Lord! He is worthy!

TONIGHT our Wednesday evening dinners begin! Be sure to sign up on Sundays. Every Sunday School Bible Study has a signup sheet. Feel free to call the church office 252-355-3500 if you have not signed up. You can also signup online at gracechurchnc.com. Classes and activities are available for every age group! The food is great and the fellowship is over the top! I hope to see you tonight. You do not have to be a member of Grace Church to attend. Wednesday night is one of my favorite times of the week! HOMECOMING 2018 is Sunday, October 7th! Scott and Jeri Hanna will be with us. I spoke to Scott yesterday. He said, “We are all excited about coming back to Grace Church.” The Hanna family will provide our special music and Pastor Scott will be preaching. This precious family made a tremendous investment during their years here at Grace Church! Don’t miss seeing them! Plan now to stay for lunch after the Morning Worship Service.
