OUTWARD ~ November 17, 2017

Every coach loves a good comeback! If you have been involved in sports you have been part of a comeback win! You remember? When coaching I used say things like “Winners never quit and quitters never win!” Or maybe something like, “We can do this guys, don’t quit!” Those were fun days for sure! Winston Churchill once said, “Never, never, never give up!” Churchill was known for his fiery speeches! I once read a quote that went something like this, “A diamond is a piece of coal that stuck to its job.” A friend sent me these words, “A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of it persistence.” My point here is FAITHFULNESS! Brothers and sisters, one key to living the Christian life is FAITHFULNESS COUNTS! 2017 is quickly coming to a close! Finish faithful, whatever you do, finish faithful! Consider Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

THANKSGIVING DAY is this coming Thursday! Thank the Lord for these days that offer us some time to slow down and just simply be thankful! Tuesday night at 6:30PM we will take time to thank the Lord for His blessings upon us! We will count our blessings over dinner! If you have not signed up do so today. You can sign-up online at gracechurchnc.com. Our Thanksgiving Dinner is always a fun time… don’t miss it! You do not have to be a member to attend. Bring a friend!

Continue to pray for the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas! Thank the Lord for His healing, peace and comfort. I can’t imagine experiencing such a tragedy! We will be praying weekly for this dear pastor and his people. In the coming days we will receive an offering for the rebuilding of their church. Prayerfully consider what you will give!

Christ Above All in everything!
