Hello Grace Church!
2017 is here! 2016 ended quietly but 2017 is here with a roar! My mother used to say. “The older you get the faster time flies.” Once again Mama is right. It is amazing how smart our parents become as we age. Recently as I studied for a Sunday message I came across John 3:30. In this verse John says, “HE MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE.” In just seven words John captures the essence of the Christian life… MAKING MUCH OF JESUS! At Grace Church in 2017 you can expect to hear these words often, “HE MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE.” If your life is like mine, I have to stop just to think at times. Here’s what I would recommend you do. Stop for a few minutes and think about these seven words. They will point you to JESUS! Think about HIM! Love HIM! Trust HIM! Rest in HIM! Serve HIM and share HIM with as many people as you can! Making much of JESUS will be the most important thing you do in your life… guaranteed!!!
Sunday, January 8 is VISION SUNDAY. A tremendous service has been planned. Don’t miss it! Come on in for Sunday School at 9:45AM. Invite someone to join you. Call someone you have been missing and encourage them to join you. We are studying the book of Joshua at this time. Joshua was a great leader. He was a courageous man for sure. His faith in God was unshakeable. There is a class for you and your family. Why not make Sunday Bible study a priority in 2017? You will not regret it!
You may not realize this but I pray for you every day. I ask the Lord to use you wherever you go in Greenville. I ask the Lord to use you at work. I ask the Lord to use your children at school. I ask the Lord to show you favor with people you meet during your day. I ask the Lord to use you and to use me every day! Everywhere we go on a daily basis I ask the Lord to use us! People all over Greenville need Jesus. What you have in Christ they need. Let the Lord use you… ask the Lord to use you… HE WILL! Take this to heart. We are in this together. We belong to the Lord and in Him we are connected together in Christ. 2017 is going to be a great year. Let’s enjoy it together! We are one, together in CHRIST!
