Our Lord Jesus was a marvelous teacher! He had a unique way of leading and guiding His disciples. He called His disciples sheep. In John 10:10 Jesus mentions the thief in contrast to the Good Shepherd in 10:11. The thief destroys sheep but the Good Shepherd cares for His sheep and gives his life for his sheep! This is how Jesus ministered to His followers. He was their loving and kind Shepherd. This is our Jesus; He is our Good Shepherd! The beautiful thing here is that Jesus speaks to His sheep. Jesus’ sheep not only listen to Him, they follow Him! Jesus, our Good Shepherd speaks to us as His own and He wants us to follow Him! Let me encourage you today. Follow Jesus… He is our Good Shepherd! Jesus said in John 10:27-29, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. 29  My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.” Jesus… what a Shepherd and what a Savior! FOLLOW HIM!!!
