For a man whose life was constantly under threat, Paul knew how to live. Consider this example from Romans 12:19-21 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20  Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21  Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Paul was hated and as a result he lived a very focused life! He choose to treat even his most violent critics with grace; the grace he experienced from Christ. When we consider how we treated the Lord before our salvation, don’t you think we should treat others like Jesus treated us? Think about it and then do what brings glory to Jesus!
