I have some “Good News” for everyone! The Gospel is alive and well! Jesus died for sinners and His death and shed blood continues to cleanse sinners from ALL sin. Now that is “Good News.” But it doesn’t end with this email. The Gospel goes on and on and on. How does this happen? It happens through believers like you and me! It happens all over the world. First, it was Jesus and His disciples and now it is you and me! What a great privilege we have as God’s people to be Gospelers… carrrying the “Good News” to those around us! This Sunday morning at 11:00 AM we begin a series of FOUR SERVICES with an emphasis on Mark 16:15 And HE said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. These services are an important next step in the growth of our outreach as a community of believers! Pray and be in your place beginning at 11:00 AM this Sunday morning and continuing through Tuesday evening at 5:30 PM with dinner and the Evening Service beginning at 6:30 PM.

Our Missions Conference theme is “ENGAGE.” The idea is to “ENGAGE” in what Jesus commanded us to do. “ENGAGE” in “making disciples of all nations.” Making disciples of all nations is Jesus’ megastrategy for reaching the world with the “Good News.” This is His plan AND ours by virtue of Jesus’ Lordship over our lives. YES, we are called to “ENGAGE” in what our Lord has called us to do! “ENGAGE” in the Great Commission. “ENGAGE” in the only “Gospel-centered” plan given to every Christian. Maybe you don’t understand all of this talk about MISSIONS. Come to these FOUR SERVICES and you will be on your way to understanding your role in Jesus’ Great Commission. Be here and you will understand what I am saying (big smile right here)!

A special THANK YOU to our Faith Promise Missions Team: Anthony Willis, Roger Thorpe, Chris Lupo, Ida Lou Beeker, Lisa Caspero, Darlene Wade and Cheryl Meshaw. Darrell Bishop was also on this team but he and Nancy recently moved their family. These are your brothers and sisters. They meet monthly and at other key times to plan and to support our present missionaries. From the first day of its existence, this group has been congregational in makeup and function. Their effort has been extraordinary! Our missions ministry is what it is today because of these committed church members. Needless to say, we are very proud of them! God bless you FAITH PROMISE MISSIONS TEAM!

Aren’t you glad you heard the “GOOD NEWS?” Jesus changed my life over 45 years ago! And you know what, I never got over it! Think about what Jesus and the Gospel means to you today! Also think about the millions who have never heard. I know it will move you to want to do everything possible for them to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ! God bless you… I love you and can’t wait to see you Sunday!

Give Like Jesus!
